Hi could I have some advice please. I have a small porch floor area, 3 x 9 foot, it has big square stone tiles at present, very smooth and flat, always dry, very slight dips where the pointing is. I would like to lay laminate flooring down over ply or osb board whatevers better? I have laid laminate before but over a wood floor not sure what preparation is needed on the stone floor first please before putting a wood sheet down, will it need a liquid damp proofing even though its dry, and also will fixing wood to the ground damage any damp proofing / sheeting put down? Thanks.

Thank you for getting back so quick. I take it thats a moisture check? Needed to ask of course, our old home was solid floor throughout but never had laminate there, this home it's all wooden floor, except porch of course, cheers.
You could put down a dpm sheet then caberflor or t any g chipboard then lay over that if you have the heights Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Merit, thanks for info, if I lay a dpm sheet then would the caberflor or chipboard just lay on the sheet without fixing because the dpm sheet might get holed if fixing to the floor?
If it’s flat enough but you would need to use some sort of insulation or underlay to stop the floor rocking/making noise when you walk on it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Some sort of foam on a roll would even out any slight pointing lines that the tiles have I expect, thanks for getting back to me.
