Hi, I'm looking for a pretty much black twist/saxony carpet with flecks of grey in it, came across these online, what do you think?

    Condor Carousel/Key West/San Diego
Balta Grand National (I think, CR sells it as Cardinal Twist)
    CR Brighton (Lano??)

Also went to my local inde carpet place, saw these

    Montana Silk (Lano??)
    Chique (Betap??)

They seemed pretty good however the underlay they supply is Ezifloor and they want £8m2 for it. Thoughts or recommendations?

Where abouts are you in the UK, the grand national is the best bet from the online the other ones are a bit lightweight in my opinion.
Which easifor underlay did they quote on as it does seem a bit on the steep side

I live in the West Midlands mate. I've since received the samples and it's between the Grand National and the CR Brighton. The quote was for 11mm underlay, 9mm was £6, both Ezifloor. I understand they want to make a profit however that much for an inferior brand I don't think is reasonable. If it was Cirrus or Conn 10 I'd get their idea.

Don't suppose either you or anyone else knows what the Carpetright House Beautiful Brighton is?

Plus what underlay would you pros recommend?

    Cheers!

Had a look at that Lano Pearl, looks very soft however definitely too soft plus expensive for us I am afraid. Thanks again though!

Fitter doesn't seem too happy with the Balta Grand National, says they're hard to fit and a PITA. Plus he couldn't get hold of it and won't fit it if we supply however that's the carpet the missus wants so it looks like we'll have to go elsewhere.

Think we're going to go with 9mm Cirrus for the underlay.
