Hi Ive joined this forum because I desperately need some advice please so I dont get taken for a ride.
I recently had a conservatory built and the brief was to build the floor so it was the same level as the existing kitchen one that feeds into it.
I always thought the floor sloped and the new door threshold was a bit low but this has recently been confirmed. The new floor attached from the existing kitchen slopes so much that if it were to be levelled up it would flow out of the door. The conservatory company are coming back and said over the phone that a new door up stand should fix it as thats whats normally done in these cases, but I think its going to be way too high making my doors look like they are sinking! Ive attached a photo which shows where a levelled floor will hit assuming I dont want flooring thicker than the existing parquet in the kitchen - but I might.
I think an up stand would be a bodge and look bad but hey what do I know, Im a women :)
Please could anyone advise whether such a large up stand is normal - none of the ones Ive seen have been this high in a doorframe?
    Thank you
    Sharon

Is the new screeded floor level? If you are taking a line from the old existing floor it may not be level. If the new screed is not level and runs out that much it's a serious problem!

Hi the existing house floor is fine it's the new screened floor that has been sloped presumably when they realised the new door threshold was about one brick too low.

Have you git some pics from the other floor to the doors.
Seen it before. Doors not in correct place. They should be using lasers to check levels are all correct before doors fitted.

Thank you all for your help.
It seems like this isn't acceptable so I will be insisting they sort it out properly and refusing the upstand.
