    Hi,

I wonder if you can help I have a bit of a problem I have a terrazzo floor in my hallway, it has been covered in bitumen and I think this can be cleaned off easily enough. The problem I have is right through the middle of the floor a channel has been cut in the terrazzo to lay a gas pipe to the lounge, this has then been filled with concrete.

I'm really not sure what to do I have been advised by one floor fitter that the floor would cost £15000 to lay now with terrazzo and so I would like to keep it really. Any suggestions!??

    I am in Cardiff.

What floor do you want to put down . And is it just for the hallway?

if its just the hallway 15k is about right for gold plated flooring.

I'd like to replace the terrazzo / match it up where the channel is

Before you clean the bitumen check the pipe is laid lower than the surrounding terrazzo .Are they tiles or in situ.If in situ there are specialists who will lay and colour to match the floor. If tiles you might not be so lucky.
    Good luck.
