Hi! I hope you can help! I have just bought my first house and I am looking to put wooden flooring down in my hall and lounge. I will be buying oak furniture and looking for a floor that will go with this. Something that will not go out of fashion. I have looked at quick step and moduleo. Just now my favourite would be moduleo impress range, the country oak 54852. I like the 'realness' of the look and the texture. Is this a good quality flooring to go for or should I be checking out any other manufacturers before deciding? At present, it is just me and my husband and our cat (!) but hopefully we will have a family at some point. I am finding it really hard to imagine as at present we gave a flowery pattern carpet down that the previous owners had. I am feeling so nervous about choosing the right stuff!!! Any advice/ opinions welcome!! Jen x
Well quickstep is bullet proof and won't scratch at all. Also if you have a concrete subfloor it will make it warmer.
Also look into a quality lvt if your budget will stretch to it mflor expona or similar really easy maintenance

Hi Adam, Picking up on what you have said above. I am having major issues finding a UK online supplier of 'Mflor' I have tried the Distinctive website which is down. I have tried emailing the address on the website - mail failed. Could you let me know where I could look at some samples locally + an online retailer if there is one. I live at postcode LA18 4HB Do they require ordering 'thro' a contractor or can any 'Joe Bloggs' purchase them. I am looking at 'Mflor' or 'Moduleo' - which would you recomend Thanks, Jim

to go with which type of wood floor really depend on your budget. Solid acacia hardwood flooring,engineered hardwood flooring comes with better feel of wormth of real exotic hardwood. Laminated floor comes with much lower cost,and simple for installation, better scratch resistantance, but surface is artificial wood grain paper.
