Rightio-then Its that time where im sick of bashing the hell out my nailer and feel the need to be trigger happy. Recommendations for a good electric nailer that will go through the shittest 6mm ply if it needs to although I tend to always use the best but what im saying is I need a good quality non jamming, non 'falling to bits every 5mins' nailer.

Been using spotnails compressor/gun for commercial and my chewed up mallet and hand nailer for domestic so need an electric one now for my domestics...

Come on then guys, give me your best shot

Oh and dont you just love it when you catch you big ass mallet on a customers lovely fresh smooth skirting board!

What you want is a pneumatic nailer not electric

What set up would you go for spacey?
We talking compressor here yeah? A little noisy for domestics though unless I have one of mario's silent ones

Spotnails have bought out a new electric nailer that fires the same narrow staples as the mallet one.

Bea Are good nailers and there staples are really sturdy never jam in my gun unlike the spotnail staples.

If you want a good tool for domestic work go for a quality, ultra quiet compressor. Don't scrimp on cost, expect to pay around £500 for it.
Spotnails have a gun that fires 19mm collated ring shanks (do not use an air or electric stapler for pinning ply) so you have no fear of penetrating a floor board, it will also accept 25mm nails for pinning 9mm ply. Most of Spotnails guns are Chinese now but are adequate provided you look after them. Omer are probably the best air guns made, Makita are also very good.
I would also advise getting a Stanley trolley box to keep everything in, makes taking it into jobs much easier and protects the compressor switchgear/valves from damage in the van (speaking from bitter experience). Spot nails offer geat service via post/courier for gun repairs and bulk purchases of nails .

I like my really load compressor for domestic jobs I can't hear a thing when it's running Especially over eager customers with far to many questions and the ones who like to spectate soon leave the room to o_O
